The only dedicated trade show for the UK pub industry, returns to London’s Olympia for its fourth year on the 6th and 7th February, celebrating all things beer. With a wealth of breweries and cider producers set to wet your whistle, PUB18 has seen registration figures nearly double from this time last year.
In response to the demand for modern and exciting brews, PUB18 has introduced the New Brew Area for the 2018 show. Sponsored by Bar Pong, The New Brew Area is the perfect place for attendees to discover the latest brewers and cider producers on the scene, and sample a range of exciting and innovative drinks. Breweries and cider producers showcasing their drinks in the New Brew Area will include HonestBrew, Cotswold Cider Company, Pillars Brewery, Crafty Nectar and Black Storm Brewery, plus many more.
Returning to this year’s show will be the hugely popular Beer Writer’s Bar. Four beer experts at the top of their game ‘Mitch Adams, Christine Cryne, Matthew Curtis and Jane Peyton’ have explored the length and breadth of the UK in search of their favourite brews.
The bar will feature selections from Bedlam Brewery, Wrexham Lager, 360 Degree Brewing, Siren Craft Brew, Twickenham Fine Ales, Redemption London, Signal Brewery and Five Points Brewing Company. New for this year, each writer will host workshops to educate publicans in all things beer, such as
- Knowledge = more beer sales
- Beyond the pale
- Want to sell more beer?
- A Taste and a toast.
The writers have also produced a handy ‘Tasting Notes’ booklet to take away with key information about top picks from the show.
Commercial Manager Alex Booth, comments:
“More than three-quarters of those who have registered to visit PUB18 are looking to discover new beers, ales and ciders. Beer and pubs are synonymous with each other, so having such a great platform to showcase the best in the industry makes perfect sense. The excitement and energy in the beer category now is phenomenal, and consumers are demanding greater choice than ever before. PUB18 is the ideal place for pub operators to discover the best on offer right now, and add to their beer range.”
PUB18 will be hosting over 200 top exhibitors as well as showcasing a wealth of industry knowledge via the robust PUB18 talks and workshops programme. The free-to-attend sessions are now open for booking A VIP Lock-In, hosted by publican and TV personality Neil Morrissey will also be taking place at the end of show day one.
